Deputy Clinical Director and Consultant Emergency Medicine, Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust.
Dr Syed Asad is an Emergency Medicine Consultant and Deputy Clinical Director at Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust. He is also Urgent Treatment centre and QIP Lead for the department. He is also clinical lead for physicians assistants working in the Trust. He completed his Emergency Medicine training from West Midlands Deanery and holds FRCEM, FRCP, MRCP & MRCGP.
In addition to his local responsibilities, He is helping RCEM as MRCEM & FRCEM examiner and has been PLAB examiner for 7 years and also helping GMC in different Pilot OSCE exams.
Dr Asad also worked as consultant Emergency Medicine in tertiary centres in Qatar and Saudi Arabia and contributed as quality improvement champion and fellowship faculty in respective roles.
He is clinical & educational supervisor for EM trainees and also instructor for ALS & ATLS. He has presented on number of occasions and helped with workshops in different emergency Medicine in Pakistan to help local faculty in improving education and patient care.
